Hello, friends!
Long time no talk!
My apologies for not having new blog posts up regularly. Life just gets really busy and tiring sometimes, ya know? I’m hoping to make writing a priority again. I really love doing it, but just got sent to the back burner for a little bit.
I’ve been mulling around a couple of ideas for blog posts during the last couple of months, and they’re all more “deep” topics, I suppose, rather than light-hearted and fun. So, while I work on those very thought-provoking posts, here’s a little something to keep everyone entertained.

Books I’ve Read Recently & Recommend:
“Capital Gaines” by Chips Gaines
I’ve been recommending this book to anyone and everyone lately that wants a great book to read. I found it to be hilarious, as well as encouraging and motivating. I also love knowing what goes on behind the scenes at Magnolia as well as its history!
Madeleine L’Engle’s “Time Quintet”
I wanted to reread A Wrinkle In Time before I saw the movie (which, somehow, I still haven’t seen … ), and then I saw the entire series for a killlller deal at Costco, so I had to buy it. Duh. My favorite book of this series was book #2, A Wind In The Door. It inspired me to open up my imagination in so many new ways, which I loved! I was sobbing as I finished this book; it was excellent. Book #3 also made me very curious and interested in learning about the Pre-Flood World and I’ve done quite a bit of research on it since finishing the book. I’m really looking forward to reading these books with Seth in a few years.
“The Hobbit” by J.R.R. Tolkien
I first read this book when I was in seventh grade and it made a lasting impression on me. The details of it all, the exquisite imagination, and the journey- full or twists and turns- that I was able to be on along with the Dwarves, Bilbo, and Gandalf was so exciting! I just started re-reading this book this week and have been thoroughly enjoying it. It’s a lot funnier than I remember it being! On a separate note: I’m still baffled as to why Peter Jackson decided to make a trilogy out of this 320 page book (but let’s not get me started on THAT). I’m really looking forward to reading this literary classic again and then perhaps even attempting The Lord of the Rings trilogy again as well.

My Favorite YouTube Channels:
I’m sure by now most of y’all know my obsession with organizing and cleaning and all that goes along with it, so I totally nerded out and subscribed to a ton of channels that have centered around those very topics. Here are some of my favorite YouTubers channels that I have been watching faithfully for over a year now! There are more channels than these listed that I watch, but I wanted to make sure that these specific channels were mentioned. To check out their YouTube channel and videos, just click their name.
Katie is a mom of 2, very soon to be 3, kiddos, and is based out of L.A. I love how funny and real she is. She is great at doing routine videos and has been doing pregnancy updates on her channel, as she is currently 35 weeks pregnant. I almost feel like she's my friend, even though we've never met!
Emily has the best accent (Canadian and British mixed) and is based out of Essex, UK. I love her mom hack and day in the life videos. It’s so interesting to see how things are done in the UK versus America.
Meg’s channel was one of the very first channels that I came across on YouTube that really inspired me to want to clean and organize. I love her Dollar Tree shop with me videos and how she organizes her home using things that she found at the dollar store.
Brittany is so creative when it comes to content on her page. She’s always ahead of the game with her “life hack” videos, and she has really unique ideas of how to organize your home. She also adds clips of her young son, Carter, into her videos, and he is too cute for words!
Nikki’s was the first channel that I ever watched that made me realize that organizing could actually be a lot of fun! Not only has she taught me how organize items efficiently, but how to make the whole system functional for you and every member of your household.
